manifest seeks original, unpublished poems and short stories. All styles and genres accepted with no more than 2 poems or 1 story per entry. Submissions can not be returned and anonymous works won’t be acknowledged. Submission does not guarantee publication

Although manifest promotes free and indepedent thought, it does possess an Editorial Policy. The magazine is geared toward a mature audience, but writers must adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Literary works that contain excessive obscentities or sexual content will not be accepted.
  • Pieces must not degrade a particular religion, race, gender, or sexual orientation.  
  • Blatant defamation of a public or private person(s) is forbidden.
  • Writers must be from Luzerne and Lackawanna counties or the surrouding areas and be 18 years or older to submit.
  • Handwritten and faxed submissions won't be accepted.
