Byers Publishing,
founded in 2005, is committed to publishing and promoting local poets and writers. Based in Wilkes-Barre,
it produces manifest magazine a literary journal that featured works by local writers.
An Introduction to Byers
Jim Byers is the President and Executive Editor for Byers Publishing.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, in 1975. He graduated from Bloomsburg University with a bachelors degree in communications.
Throughout his career, he has worked as a newspaper reporter and for a children’s book and magazine publishing company.
Byers is currently producing grunge, a collection of poems,
short stories, essays, and artwork that he has created since his teenage years. He is also adapting the WW II journal featured
in manifest's premiere issue into a book.
